Independence Day Children's bike parade
The Oriole Park Independence Day Children's Bike Parade will return to Oriole Park this year! The parade will take place on Monday, July 4, 2022. Parade will assemble at 9:00 a.m. at 7500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. at the north end of the Park. The Parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. (Parade route is pictured below). The parade route is Bryn Mawr Ave. west to Oriole Ave., Oriole south to Berwyn Ave., Berwyn east to Olcott Ave. and Olcott north to the Park.
Children of all ages in Oriole Park are invited to participate in the Parade. They are encouraged to decorate their bicycles in patriotic colors. Parents can accompany their children in the Parade. The whole community is invited to join in! The Grand Marshall will be retired Chicago Police 16th District Commander Maureen Biggane. Parade music will be provided by the Oriole Park School Band. Scouts will be in the procession. Dignitaries include 41st Ward Alderman Anthony Napolitano. Parade will have a Police and Fire Department escort.
Parade watchers are encouraged to turn out along the route to enjoy this festive event. Volunteers are needed! We need volunteers to be intersection monitors the day of the parade from 9 - 10 AM.
