Voice of the community on local concerns relating to issues of public safety and maintaining the low-density character of the community.  Examples include the following:  installation of pedestrian island and flashing lights marking the pedestrian crossing on Higgins Rd. to the CTA Harlem Ave Blue Line station; improvements in traffic flow through the controlled intersections of Harlem-Higgins and Harlem-Bryn Mawr; and, successfully campaigning to block the construction of a 4-story, 21 unit condo building combined with commercial offices on Rascher Ave at Harlem Ave.
